October Training Meeting

July 26, 2010

Location: Ford County Cricket Ground, Chelmsford

I wanted to let you know that we have a guest speaker – JP Doyle an RFU elite panel referee. Let’s make sure we have as good as or even better attendance than our first meeting.

By way of background, JP is originally from Dublin, and progressed here via London Society becoming a full time referee on the RFU’s Elite Referee Panel. In addition he has been appointed to the IRB Referee Panel and has officiated there in the World 7s series and the IRB Nations Cup.

As additional background here is a copy of the press release from May 2008 with some more detail about JP:

JP DOYLE BIOGRAPHY

JP Doyle, 28, is a teacher by profession who played rugby for Terenure College (School), Terenure College RFC (Rugby Club) and St. Mary’s College, Twickenham. JP started refereeing in England for the West list in London in January 2003 after starting his career in Leinster two years before.

JP was promoted to the South East Group in 2003 and made the National Panel in 2006. JP refereed a final in the Daily Mail Schools Day in 2007 and the EDF Energy National Trophy Final this year.

If you purchased a new yellow match shirts please bring this with you as we’d like to get a group and some individual photo’s to put on our website and also for our generous sponsors to use. If you haven’t yet got your kit let Tony Cornell know so that he can bring your order with him to the meeting – and remember you need to pay on the night.

Regards

Sean
